TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our events, including TEDxDavenport, TEDxYouth and TEDxSalon Series, where x = independently organized TED event.
At TEDx events in the Quad Cities, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx programs, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
These independent TEDx events are operated under license from TED. TEDx in the Quad Cities events are produced by the Quad Cities Ideas Alliance, a 501(c)3 non-profit, dedicated to help sharing ideas worth spreading.
TEDx events are meant to be diverse. New ideas, perspectives, and open minds. We are always looking for attendees and speakers that are wanting to help shape our culture in the Quad Cities and help share ideas worth spreading. Are you ready?
Though our speakers come from all disciplines and all industries both within and beyond the Quad Cities area, all have an idea worth spreading and a passion to share it. Our speakers present bold, radical ideas that challenge standard conceptions, present new understandings of our world, or uniquely add to established bodies of work. Their talks are well-formatted, visually inspiring, and act as a launching point both for their idea and themselves.
